Circle of Security
We use a Circle of Security approach to help children feel secure as they explore and learn. This model guides us to be a safe base and a place of comfort when they need. We read their cues, pause to understand and respond with warmth. In this way, we build trust, resilience and a sense of belonging for children and families.
It also gives children the confidence to try new things, knowing they can ask for help. This might mean offering a hand before they climb or sharing their joy when they complete a painting. We talk about feelings in simple, honest language so children can express themselves and know our care is constant, whether they’re exploring new ideas or seeking quiet and calm.
